Califon is a borough in Hunterdon County that has a population of approximately 1,100. The borough was officially incorporated on April 2, 1918. One of the region’s popular attractions is the Califon Historic District, a 164-acre historic district that consists of 154 buildings. Students from pre-Kindergarten through eight grade are served by the Califon School District (these students go on to attend Voorhees High School for ninth – twelfth grade).
