High Bridge is a borough in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The borough was named for a 1,300 foot-long, 112 foot-high bridge built by the Central Railroad Company across the South Branch of the Raritan River. High Bridge was originally incorporated as a township in 1871 and was reincorporated as a borough in 1898. Currently, the borough’s population is approximately 3,700.
