Perkasie is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania midway between Philadelphia and Allentown with a population of approximately 8,500. The name ‘Perkasie’ comes from the Lenape word ‘Poekskossing’ which translates to ‘where the hickory nuts were cracked’. To celebrate the borough’s anniversary, every 25 years a king and queen are crowned. The next king and queen will be crowned for the 150th anniversary in 2029.
