Ambler, is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with a population of approximately 6,400. Located 12 miles from the city of Philadelphia, it is home to the suburban Ambler Campus of Temple University. The borough is named for Mary Johnson Ambler, a local Quaker woman, who led the rescue of survivors of a train wreck in 1852.
